This Privacy Policy describes how DIMA S SOFTWARE SRL ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the CarLog: Fuel & Maintenance mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
When you create an account and use the App, you may provide information such as your email address, vehicle details (brand, model, year, registration number, VIN), fuel records, service and maintenance records, expense records, vehicle documents, photos and files you upload, and your preferences (distance units, currency, language).
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain information, including device identifiers for delivering push notifications, crash and performance data to help us fix bugs and improve the App, general usage data such as which features are used most, and your subscription status.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, or health data. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Create and manage your account
- Store your vehicle data, records, and documents in the cloud
- Send you push notifications and reminders you have set up
- Process and manage your subscription
- Analyze usage trends to improve the App
- Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
- Respond to your support requests
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only with the third-party service providers we use to operate the App:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications (Privacy Policy)
- Google Sign-In — account authentication (Privacy Policy)
- Apple Sign-In — account authentication on iOS (Privacy Policy)
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management (Privacy Policy)
- Expo — push notification delivery (Privacy Policy)
We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the European Union. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls that ensure you can only access your own data, and secure authentication protocols.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete records within the App, they are removed from view and permanently deleted within 30 days. When you delete your account, all of your data — including vehicles, records, documents, uploaded files, and your profile — is permanently removed from our systems.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your personal data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
You can delete your account directly in the App by going to Settings → Delete Account. For any other requests, email us at contact@dimas-software.com and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Push Notifications
The App may send you push notifications for reminders you've configured, such as expiring documents or upcoming service dates. You can turn off push notifications at any time in the App's settings or your device settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data is primarily stored in the European Union. If any data is transferred outside the EU, appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
